About I. E. Clark
I. E. CLARK PUBLICATIONS, a Texas-based company, has been publishing
plays and musicals for the theatre since 1956. Upon receiving his Masters
Degree from the University of Texas, I. E. Clark returned to the small town of
Schulenburg, Texas, his hometown, as the high school English teacher.
At the direct request of his students, I. E. volunteered to direct
a play. He and his students quickly developed a prestigious
reputation by winning competition after competition, including
repeated victories in the nation's largest statewide competition--the
Texas U.I.L. (University Interscholastic League) where his students
reached the state finals 15 times, winning a state championship
5 times and first runner-up 5 more times.
When I. E. achieved many victories with his personal
cuttings of theatre classics, he began to receive numerous
requests to share the cuttings with others. He agreed, and before long he
developed a mailing list and started to receive unsolicited play scripts for
publication. Over time, the company expanded to include hundreds
of titles and provide service to all fifty states and numerous
countries outside the U.S. Despite growth, I. E. Clark
Publications still prides itself for providing the same quality products
and service that I. E. made available over 50 years ago.
