Demonstration/Accompaniment Tapes are available for most of our musicals.
The Demo Tape includes music and vocals for preview (but not non-musical
sound effects). Some of our demo tapes were professionally made in sound
studios while others were recorded live at a rehearsal or performance
with the resultant audience noises, bad acoustics, etc. In either case
you'll get a preview of the music. Demo tapes may be purchased or rented.
The Accompaniment Tape may be used for rehearsals, for private practice by your performers, and as accompaniment at performances. All our Accompaniment Tapes are of good quality; some are piano or guitar only, some are orchestral. Accompaniment Tapes and combined Demo/Accompaniment Tapes are available by purchase only and may not be returned.

Our videos vary considerably in quality. They are not the professional
Hollywood tapes that you rent at the video store. Most were taped at a
performance, with the usual problems of audience noise, acoustics, and
placement of camera and microphone. The dialogue is often difficult to
understand. Some dialogue and action vary from the playbook. Therefore,
we recommend that you read the play first, or follow along in the script
while watching the video. The lighting is not good in some of the tapes.
We have had complaints about some of our tapes, but many producers find
even poor quality tapes helpful, so we continue to list them. If you want
to check on the quality of a tape before ordering, please write or phone.
We'll give you an honest opinion.
The purchase price of most videos is $50. The rental fee is $15.00 for the first two weeks. You may keep the tape longer for a charge of $5 per week (transit time is not charged for). Shipping charges: We pay the cost of shipping the tape(s) to you by mail or ground UPS (inquire about a charge for faster service). You pay the cost of returning the tape(s). Because we have had a large number of people who rent and never return our videos, we have started requiring that a credit card number be on file in order for you to rent any video. In case you decide not to return the video, you will be charged the full purchase price of that video. |
