Short royalty-free skits demonstrate the value of Christian morals in
the lives of teenagers. Each skit, 5 to 15 minutes long, emphasizes the importance
of witnessing for Jesus. Even Rufus, leader of a ruthless motorcycle gang, makes it to Heaven.
Before each play is a short summary on how to approach your production. These are not iron-clad
rules, but merely suggestions. They will vary according to size of stage, number of actors, and props
that you have available. The "stage" may be the chancel, the fellowship hall floor, or any other space
around which people can gather to watch. These plays can be presented at little or no expense, and by
all groups, no matter how large or small. We also suggest that you present three to six of these plays
at a time, so you can present many talents instead of just a few. They are suitable for all groups and
all Christian denominations, for reading in share groups, Bible studies, and Reader's Theatre
presentations.
The six skits are Welcome to Heaven (4M, 4W); Bernie and the Highjacker (2M);
The Bible Study (3M, 3W); I Can't Hear You (3M, 1W); The Return of Rufus (3M, 3W);
and The Trial (3M, 3W or 6W).
*Royalty-free to church, educational, and civic organizations. Five copies are sufficient for
staging any one play, or all six plays if the same cast members are used. Since it is illegal to copy
playscripts, a minimum of 5 scripts is required to allow for free performance royalty.
